Does anyone have a diagram of the coolant flow?
Coolant leaks on gm 5.0l & 5.7l vortec engines built between 1995 and 2002 can some times be attributed to the stock plastic intake manifold gaskets. My new engine doesn't have the egr cooler and has an extra pipe on the return line that i need to plug. Coolant inside the engine block and cylinder head(s) absorbs heat from the cylinders when the engine is running. .and if its a 5.0 engine it will be near oil filter.hope this helps.this diagram is for the 2.3 engine.there is also a diagram of the coolant temp sensor dont change this.
